Shares Portfolio value today (14/02/2026), at Friday's Close =   $48,678



According to my Gramp's tour brochure, Japan is a land of marvelous beauty, ancient 
history, diverse cultures and boundless energy. That is why aside from the tour cost, they
also have to pay for a lot of incidentals:

1. Tipping per person/day
   a) Coach Driver = $10 
   a) Coach Assistant Driver = $10 
   b) Tour Guide = $10 
   c) Cruise daily gratuity = $15.50

Tipping is apparently considered by locals to be a part of their normal remuneration and
some may even approach tour passengers for additional "compensation". Wow!

2. Extra expenses - lunches (coach tour), dinners(coach tour), free days, optional shows

3. Hotel tips
4. Diner tips
5. Extra amenities (drinks, spirits, photos)

Four years to the date when I first would see the light of day, my Gramps and Grams are on
a plane home from a ($4,099/pp twin-share) 14-day holiday tour in Japan, boarding at
Tokyo.

There was a bet among mi Grampa's officemates as to mi birthdate and weight. One came two-
days prior off, another just 0.02 kg over. I was not that easily predictable 😂.

Mi Gramps celebrated mi birth with an indulgent takeaway lunch, a $24.95 McDonald's
McValue Box:
2 BigMacs, 2Cheeseburgers, 4SmallFries and 4BottlesOfWater.

My Grampa and Granma just retired from employment. They both received some severance pay
for their years of service. From their windfall, they set up a shares portfolio for mi
future, consisting of a bank, a foodie and an ETF. The portfolio currently sits at $47,985
today. That's how much mi Gramps & Grams loved Moi.
